Has anyone ever shipped a knife to Australia.I've got a couple for sale and have had a couple of questions about if I would ship there.USPS says it would run 15 to twenty dollars.Seems high.I hate to charge that much.Arnold

Arnold,
I just shipped a knife to Sweden for $14.50 by priority mail insured. The guy had no problem with the price. Just don't use the domestic boxes, like priority mail and express mail boxes. I made that mistake and they made me re-pack it in a regular brown box. You may also have to fill out a customs form but it's no big deal.

Thanks Eric,I hate to deny our Aussie friends a nice Schrade but that just seemed high.I guess it is their choice.Arnold

You can use a flate 4 pound rate rate Global priority envelope for $5.25 use some padding inside and some wide tape on outside to strengthen or use the large ones for $9.00. If your worried use a little more tape. Ive had probably about 50 or more sent here to Australia like that.
Regards Tim

Toby, If its light enough, they may let you ship "Air Letter", the people at my Post office do it for me often.

A $5.25 Global Priority envelope should get Priority as it is an express service,
Quickest Ive had is about 5 working days. They usually get stopped and opended by customs on way into country which can take another 2 days extra, so around 5 days is lighting fast and probably the exception usually closer to 7 or 8 with customs.
If I was using the smaller $5.25 envelope I would cover all of it except bar code in clear wide tape, it makes em super strong,
Regards Tim
