If one buys a product from Ebay, such a Busse BATAC. What would be an appropriate time amount in which the seller should have shipped it, (payment was made immediately after the auction) before one should worry that he is getting hosed?

Depends if there is some sort of situation that might warrant a delay (e.g. auction ends on Friday night of a holiday weekend, seller travelling for work, etc). I would be annoyed after 3-4 days, and worried after a week.

Regardless, after the auction ends the seller should tell you when the item will ship and alert you to any delays.

Within 2 days is good...after 3 is a bit lax...nothing heard after 4 days and I would be worried.

Yeah, within 3-4 days or I would be miffed. How long has it been?

Some people are just slow though; I've had my share of them on evilbay.

I think within 3 days it should be shipped out. I believe ebay gives 30 days if you read their rules.

If I haven't received it within 1 week, I get concerned. I always pay immediately and expect prompt shipment. I think that is fair.

Apparently, this guy Agustrat on ebay is not really trustworthy, (I think this is same guy as everyone was posting about called Walkingman). I didnt realize this until I saw his real name after I won the auction. I sent payment on June 20th. I will give this guy until Monday. Thats one full week of business days. If i used paypal, how do I go about getting my money back?

if you go through ebay and they find that you got hosed, I beleive ebay can send a refund request to paypal. having ebay on your side during the paypal proceedings will help in general even if that isn't the case.

given that he's had good feedback consistently for the past week, meaning he at the very least shipped other orders on time recently, you may get it in a few days.

On the auction page for your knife, it tells you how you are covered for this sale. Just below the price of the item listed on the page it states, "pay with paypal, and your full purchase price is covered". Ebay only recognizes Paypal as payment, none other now. Did seller contact you at all since the close of the auction? Try to contact him if you can. Some people travel for business. If you go to the main ebay site page, you can find out how to "contact the seller". Most have a phone number listed.
