Recently noticed that two of these are available on two separate sites and was wondering how rare these are. I understand that they were made for one knife shop using the shop owners personal collection of shipwreck coins?

One knife has a booklet that came with it from new, the other does not.

Just looking for some info before I take the plunge lol

I have been curious about those as well. The one's I've seen are quite nice. Came close a couple times to buying one, but not yet...

There is one on eBay the guy has been trying to sell for a long time, for WAY over the price you can buy one brand new from Plaza Cutlery right now.
PC has four for sale right now as cheap as 550 for a large. All complete and BNIB.

They are fairly rare, I have only seen one in the wild, and then the guy on eBay... I have thought about buying one off of Plaza Cutlery but the design just does not speak to me.

I posted this pic once before, while it was being used to open Christmas packaging. I got it from Plaza, it came with a certificate and a photo of the coin (cob) prior to being set into the knife. It's from a ship that sunk in 1622...to me, it serves as a reminder that we are temporary stewards of whatever we own.

Very good reminder. You could also put time in that same category. Time is short steward well.

PS love these knives.

I love the idea but I'm not a fan of the typography. Much like I don't like the "Made in Idaho" stamp, my personal preference is limited to zero words on the knife. If the Shipwreck knife had the coin and no words except maybe the year of the shipwreck, and possibly an etching of a ship, or a flag of spain from that era, or waves of an ocean with blue anodizing, then I'd be in love with the knife.
