So about a month ago I stumbled upon somebody selling a Shirogoov mod 95 Hati. I have had my eye on one of these for awhile but most people add $3-500 to the original price of them. The price was pretty good and was lightly carried, I feel I got a great deal.
So for anyone reading this that might not be familiar with Shirogorov, here is a little over view from the information that I have been given. It is a Russian made knife, ran by two brothers. The brand is extremely popular in Russia. Currently there is only one distributor in North America, good luck finding them with that site.
This model is their most popular, the 95. Their are other variations of this model, however this one is the Hati. That just means it has a sculpted Carbon Fiber face scale and it runs on washers instead of bearings. My knife is in S30V, they seem to use quite a few different steels at different times. The blade length is just over 4" and the overall length is 8 3/4" when closed the knife feels much smaller than its specs would imply. However when you have the knife open you can really feel that extra blade length that most of us are not used to. They use very nice custom hardware, however everything can be adjusted with any flat head screwdriver. They also us a extremely nice custom pocket clip, not only is it very visually appealing, it has great tension on it as well. The knife sits very low in your pocket and you can trust that it is there when you need it. The blade is a very nice full flat grind that comes down to a very thin edge. It seems their heat treat is done very well as this knife holds a very sharp edge for a long time. The knife is opened with a flipper. Tho is easily the Sebenza of Flippers. Even on washers this blade fires out quicker than any auto or spring assisted knife I have ever seen. I would reccomend this knife to anyone who is looking for the next step in their collections. If anyone has any questions or comments just let me know. For tvose of you that have experiance with these knives, how have they been for you.

Nice review and pretty much spot on. Mine is with washers as well and flips incredibly well. It has the s30v steel and holds an edge very well. Nice early lockup and not a hint of blade play. And i agree, the knife seems smaller than the actual blade length would suggest.

I am thinking about selling to of Shirogorof folders. All brand new. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Iv'e got 6 with #7 on the way this week, the absolute best flipper bar none that's out there today!...Imho

4 95's, a hati, a f3, and a Dertnik 95 with axis lock.

I have a Hati. It is an amazing knife. I would certainly say that it is the finest knife I've ever held. It's as well made as is possible, outstanding design, finest materials and amazingly light weight for its size. I would "ditto" that somehow the knife seems much smaller than it is. I bought mine new from "said" (or unsaid) dealer before the price hike. I immediately thought to myself "this knife could be $1,000 and the buyer would still be stoked." I have used mine very little and I doubt that I ever will. It is likely the overall best knife I own in every way but it just somehow doesn't feel practical to scuff it up when I already have a few Sebenzas & SnGs that don't seem to mind "character marks" as much.

I really do like that I have such a rare knife (at least in the States) but I kinda wish there were more out there so more folks could see how amazing they are!

Do they make a model that is less than 4-inches?

All the model 95's are 95mm blade which is approximately 3.75" and some older models are less than that, iv'e got a Dertnick made back in 2005-06 and it's got a 3.55" blade but is not a flipper and has an axis lock.

Thanks.

Is the 95 the smallest model?

I don't know if they currently make smaller bladed models but like i said they previously did.
And like a couple posters previously stated the knife carries much smaller than you would expect from a knife with a 3.75" blade.

Hmmm......TNK lists the 95 and F3 models as 4 1/8 inches.

Blade length is 95mm, do the conversion its 3.74 and change, i own 4 95's and a Hati and a F3 and all the blades are the same length approx. 3.75.
However they do make a couple models that are over 4" blade length, they are the model 110 and 111 and i believe they have blades that are 4 1/8".
I think Neil at tnk is confused.... but that's a whole other story!
