Meanwhile in Russia...

Hi everybody! In this topic I will share some photos of my Shirogorov knives - "dressed" and "naked" (taken apart). I believe these are exactly the knives not afraid of Macro on your camera - very clean and technologic - a piece of engineering thought I can say.

Hope you will enjoy watching!

All the best and a sharp edge,

I just want to thank you Dmitry. Your posts are what turned me on to Shirogorov and I am amazed. Gorgeous knives and your photos are incredible!

I am desperate to get my hands on one of these works of art. Fortunately, I have some work colleagues in Moscow so I am going to see if they can help me out.

One quick question for you: Which knives feature the roller bearings? I am sure the washers would be more than adequate but I think I would prefer the roller bearings if I have the option.

Anyway, please keep your photos and reviews coming. They are a joy to see!

Hi Jondllas331!

Glad you like Shirogorov knives, photos just hard to express the genuine work done, still very pleased you're amazed )

Roller bearings are used in the knives produced under Custom Division and Sergey Shirogorov custom knives, you can't see them in Serial Division knives, that are more common. For the moment used for 3D Flipper95 and Hati models - single and double rows I've seen. As for the washers, they are just fading into the background, been mostly used to Serial Hati and 111 models. Production of 111 is already starting with ball-bearings system. Hati is on the way.

Wish you get one of these nice knives one day! Beware, once you tried one, you can't stop then. Ahahahaa! ))))

Dmitry..I've been following your post here and elsewhere. I'm totally sold on Shiros.
Read all kinds of blade related things for a year and a half before embarking on collecting knives.
Somehow always gravitate back to these knives,so no surprise my first 2 were both Shiros.
I have custom pieces now but always looking out for more Shiros. In fact one is constantly in my pocket.
It's just not as easy for me to get especially the rarer ones... Wish I had access like you to all these nice knives :D

Thanks for your posts.. It really helps in understanding the small but significant differences and which ones I would want from knowing their history/ changes made to it.

Edit: Agree too addictive!

Great photos, Dmitry! Good to know they're starting to put ball bearings in the Hati. I have had a couple of them, but sold them to buy more Flipper 95 and F3 models with SRBS.

This man tells the truth. A couple months ago I swore I'd never pay secondary market prices for a Shirogorov. Then I made the mistake of trading for one. Now I have more than I can remember...over 10, I know that.

Over 10!

And here I am questioning myself about getting a single one. But like with all blades you once you get a taste one is never enough.

Great pics Dmitry!

Hey Dmitry, I hate to bother you, but if you're still able to see this thread (I'd also send you a PM, but I can't), then can you tell me how to take apart the free-spinning pivot on a Shirogorov?
I have a slightly older 95T (I think from 2012-2013), and the pivot just spins when you try to adjust it or take the knife apart. I ask because I saw that your Hati here had the same pivot assembly, and wasn't sure if you have seen this when trying to take the Hati apart, or if maybe there was something wrong with my knife.

It is a legitimate Shirogorov, and of that I am sure, just to let you know. I know because the steel has been verified as legitimate, the knife itself has flawless construction, and all of the details of the knife are perfect except for when you try to adjust the pivot.

There is probably something I just don't know about taking this one apart, but I wanted to check with you since you obviously know how they are taken apart.
