Does anyone know anything about servicing Shirogorov knives? I have a 111 in elmax that I disassembled some time ago, and I've never been able to get it to lock up properly (i.e. without some lock rock) since.

Is it possible to send knives back to Shirogorov to be adjusted, or is there someone in the US who is familiar with these knives and could sort it out?

Appreciate any informed suggestions.

If it was purchased through Recon1, you can send it to them to have them send it on to Shirogorov. Otherwise, you have to arrange to send it to Shirogorov yourself. As far as I know, they don't have someone in the US who services their knives, just Recon1 who ferries the knives to Russia.

Thanks. I bought it from a seller on Bladeforums. Do you know how to get contacts details for Shirogorov Knives? I don't find anything on Google.

They have a subforum on the USN, that's the only internet presence I know of theirs besides their Instagram accounts.

Thanks. I've just seen they're also on Facebook. I'll try to contact them through there as I don't do Instagram.

Echoing what everyone else has said, contact tom via email. Shirogorov's warranty services are great albeit slow since shipping to and from russia basically adds 2 months on top of a fairly lengthy service time.

Not purchasing from R1 I believe doesn't mean that you can't go through them for shipping, as long as you have the American style warranty card (the one printed vertically w/ the hologram sticker) then you can have them arrange shipping for you. Personally it makes me feel a lot safer than shipping to my house since Shirogorov will ship your knife back with the next batch of knives destined for R1 which means less chance for customs seizure.

If shipping is too risky for you and it definitely was for me, definitely feel free to attend either Blade (already past), USN Gathering (coming in Aug) or California Custom Knife show (Oct) and hand your knives in personally to Sergey. Not only will you cut down on a month of servicing time (and another month if you attend another show consecutively) but you can talk with the team as well and they're always great to talk to!
