Shirogorov Tragedy

We learned overnight that on 6/14 a tragic accident has taken the life of Igor Shirogorov the elder brother of the Shirogorov Brothers knife company.

Details are sketchy but it is apparently official.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Igor's family and friends.

RIP Igor.

Never wanted to hear that. I really hope all is well with the rest of the family, though I know nothing can ease the massive loss of Igor.

Those of us that love the Shirogorov name and got a chance to meet Igor have all lost a lot with Igor's passing.

Wow, that's bad news! Condolences to the Shiro' family...

I looked on the website, and it confirms this incident. It gives no details though.

God, I was still hoping maybe this was a bad dream or a mistake somewhere. Really can't believe Igor is gone. I only met him once, but he and his family where probably the knife-makers I most wanted to meet again.

Really a tragedy for too many people.
 
Sad news indeed. The Shirogorov brothers have made a huge impact on the knife community. My prayers go out to his family.
 
That's sad news. He was obviously a huge part of making the Shirogorov name one of the most respected in the world amongst knife aficionados. It's the kind of legacy everyone wishes they could leave behind. My condolences to his friends and family.
