Shiros for actual use

I’ve been thinking about picking up a Shirogorov for a little bit but the one thing that’s been holding me back is how good they’d actually be outside of the safe. A few things like the limited travel, and thus life, of the lock bar because of the lip on it, difficulty opening due to lack of pivot screw head, and lack of US service. I’ve seen a few used for sale where the lock bar lip was touching the blade which is kind of what sparked this.

Would love hearing some feedback from actual owners on how big an issue any of these things were. Thanks!

I use a Shiro F3 as an EDC for my woodworking/remodeling knife. Has been a great worker going on a year.
Still looks great and operates as I want and expect. One of my very few solid keepers - YMMV.
