Shiva Ki Fightin Bowie?

Hey, folks. I'd just about give my right arm to own a Shiva Ki Fightin Bowie (see pic) -- but the price tag is WAY too steep at $1800. Anyone know of a production/custom blade that is similar?

I'll second that, and for a third the price of the knife you're talkin about.
 
Lamey, Foster, DeRosiers, Knight and a few others could put something like that together for a much better price. But you might have to be willing to accept cleaner fit and finish and a better hamon:)

Thanks, guys. I've reached out to a few of the names you provided, and Matt Lamey already responded. Quick on the draw, that guy -- and his work is really nice. I'll be sure to post some pics here if this works out.
 
Lamey was the first name that came to mind when I saw your request. The other recommendations are all excellent as well. If you're going to Blade, all those guys will be there with drool-inspiring bladeware.

I have to chime in on the communication thing.. im TRYING to get better at comms. and specifically email (only near a computer on weekends)! All I can say for sure is the knife world in general is a very patient one!

Now that the above is out of the way, Ive responded to the initial email sent to me, with the clear and understood caveat that I do not, and will not blatantly copy another makers work. What I will do is make MY version of a full tang Fighting Bowie, which ive done many of in the past.

DeRossiers, Knight, Foster would all be on my short list as well!!

I have a couple of Ki's and I have a Fighting bowie from Matt. Matt is a great guy and the knife he made for me is fantastic and I can say without reservation that you will not be dissapointed
