Our new Kami Rajkumar , Prince, has created a beautiful knife for you
based on a legendary knife used during the ancient times of
the 2nd Buddha Guru Rimpoche.

As the legend has it, this beautiful knife was used by the gods
for fighting evil spirits. Might be useful in today's environment.

The handle is wood with brass fittings. The butt caps are heavy.
It looks like a full tang. The sharp edge on the back side and the
sharpened, multi-faceted front edge might indicate how dedicated
those early Buddhas were when battling hordes of evil spirits. They
weren't planning on taking prisoners.

I only have one Shiva Knife to offer you right now, so it is strictly
first come, first served. If you've been looking for someplace special
to spend your tax refund, this knife would be a good place.

Overall lenght --15.5''
Weight--20 oz
Satisal wood handle with barss fittings
Red leather scabbard
Add to your ongoing collection at $200. *SOLD*

That is stunning! Truly a collectible, and I wish my wife hadn't insisted on buying a new mattress with our refund (I mean, jeeze, the old one was only 40 years old and belonged to her parents:rolleyes::D)

On a side note, those "mohawk" hats are quite popular with the younger hipster crowd. I would love to have one, but I have no idea where or when i would wear it:D:thumbup:

email sent on hat!

though all attempts will be made to avoid longboarding or listening to an ipod while wearing it

That is an impressive piece of art... that can save your life

Holy mother of mercy...

That is the most frighteningly beautiful thing I've seen that has an edge. I've looked at many knives, sighed much but this has to top it all.

Can we get a little more information on the design ideas behind the knife? Like the half-hole? Why does it have multiple chos? Why does the tip curve up so much?
Most importantly, what was it practically used for?

That sharp curved front end looks like it would slash cut more easily than a straight pointed tip.

The cut out with the circular hole reminds me of the flame representation on some Tibetan swords.
(Imagine a row of these on either side of the tip of a sword -- would look like a flaming sword.)

Thank you for giving the Shiva Knife spiritual home

That looks a lot like the sword Kali carries in some artwork I've seen.

Of course, since she's the one that had to come in and kill off the demons in the end, I guess it makes sense.
