Basicly I wanted to know some more information on the shoulder rig, if it could be changed from left to right side carry, or if it could be even modified to carry dundee style too. I was also curious on how the knife stays in the sheath, are there any straps or snaps that holds the knife in place, or is it moulded tightly around the knife so it won't fall out.

I have no personal experience with the shoulder rig, Sorry. But I can give you this from the Emerson web site.

Emerson Knives now introduces a modular sheath system that allows you to carry your folding knife safely in the open condition, ready for instant deployment. It will also carry your knife in the closed condition. This patent pending sheath system was developed by Emerson at the request of covert personnel who needed a knife that would be instantly available at times when the knife was the only weapon system they were allowed to carry. This concept was necessary because at times when there is no option to carry a firearm, a folding knife, easily concealed, easily explained, was the only option. With the use of this sheath system, it gives the operator the option of carrying the knife safely, in it’s quickest deployment mode - already locked open. The system is available for the Emerson RAVEN, SPECWAR, and COMMANDER models. This Kydex system features attachments that allow a number of carry options including the Emerson Folder Rig, the Chalker Tactical Assault Sling, web gear and belt attachment. </font>

TTTT,
I have a Emerson Shoulder Rig.
It is COMPLETELY MODIFIABLE to whatever BLADE Orientation you desire. It is fully Integratable and reversable as well.
There may be some drilling of holes for EXACT angle Placement you desire as in my case.
You can also have additional sheaths made to accomodate various different knives as well.
Even one on each side. Dundee carry stlye is possible w/ some minor tweaking.
Hope that helps.

Are these ever sold any where? Does EKI have any in stock? I've seen this before many times but I think I heard they didn't have any in stock or didn't make 'em any more so I didn't bother. I would definitely purchase one from Emerson.

Thanks for the information guys. I was thinking some more about this, and now I also wish that Emerson Knives, could also make custom ones as well. (Really gotta get one for my Benchmade Model 42 balisong.)

I also wonder if it would interfere with the use of crutches. (Just broke my leg and the crutches keep hitting my pocket clips)

If you want an awesome kydex shoulder rig for any knife (or gun, or both), contact Frank at Skunkworks-(509)534-6113. He does all of my custom kydex work and is truely an artisan in plastic.

I own an Over-The-Shoulder-Folder-Holder for the CQC7. I am pleased with it. It is comfortable, infinitely adjustable to torso size/shape and angle/height of knife carry, and draw tension without straps. I bought mine thru Shomer-Tec in Bellingham, WA. It is a nice way to carry a knife. It also comes with a belt adapter. The only word of caution I have is that if you are wearing a concealing garment, be careful when you do a "defensive" draw of the knife, ie. hi-speed draw. I've already ruined one shirt by slicing a nice gash in it.

The knife was sharp enough that I didn't even feel the knife cutting

. I use a CNS 7B with mine. It won't work with my waved 7B because of the Wave ramp.
