Shooting in my hood in nj

What's wrong with people? There was a gunman on my wife's college campus 2 weeks ago while she was in class. Didn't shoot anyone at least.
 
Let me guess, the mall was a " gun free zone."

I always carry in gun free zones. They're freaking dangerous.
 
It's xxxxxxxxx. Probably had their health insurance policy canceled.

What ever happened to just shooting yourself , jumping off a building, exhaust in the car, popping pills.... It almost seems like a darn contest on who can go out the most dramatically. SMH! Hoping no one got hurt.

BTW I have never seen a "No Guns" sign before.

there has been a lot of strange stuff going on in our state lately. This place is about 45 minutes north of us.
 
We just had a Fire Dept Lt. murdered in his own driveway in Cleveland. They interviewed a neighbor: "We heard 5-6 shots. We paid it no mind. Then we heard some creaming and yelling, but we paid it no mind."
 
Hope no one is hurt or killed. I don't know if the gun violence is getting worse or is it just getting more mainstream media attention either way, hope all is well.
 
Report 26 mins ago was no victims shot and shooter apparently escaped, but they think they know who it is.
 
society is in decay...family's are breaking down or non existent,mental health problems are on the rise.im afraid this
might be the new norm.

Unfortunately this is the xxxxxxxxx state of New Jersey and the state is a gun free zone. CCW are not issued without cause and very few people are able to show cause regardless of their circumstances. :grumpy:

Guys. The info on this one is out there. 20 y/o M. Stolen gun and motorcycle helmet from brother. Brother notified authorites early. Fired shots, but No intended targets, "public" / dramatic-seeking suicide. Deceased, discovered in a back area of the Mall. Approximate 6 hour clearing.

You're absolutely right. Society has changed much since I grew up in the '50s & '60s, and generally not for the better. When I was a child, we lived in a middle class suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio - it was relatively crime-free, even to the point that during the hot nights of summer we slept with the windows & doors open to allow for cooler air to enter our house that had no air conditioning. My Mom did not work outside of the home, and Dad always arrived home from work at the same time each day and we had dinner together. We sat at dinner and talked, without any disruptions like television, phones, etc. When I was young, whether at home or school, if you broke a rule then you paid a significant enough price (like a swat or two on your back-end with a paddle), that you would likely not do it again. I was taught if you want something in life, then work hard to achieve it. I was also taught to believe in and worship God.
