Many have asked for a picture of the shop 2 Kagas Katne so here it is. Lighter is there for perspective.

Overall length is 6 & 1/4 inches. Blade thickness is 1/8 and 11/16 wide. Weight is about two oz. Very good quality. Has a good sharp edge which is pretty hard.
Scabbard also very high quality.

I am in the process of sending these to people on the wait list.

Thanks for the pic, Uncle. With a frog reversal & repositioning, it looks like it could make for a very interesting neck knife. I'll let you know.

I may be goin' to hell in a bucket, Babe, but at least I'm enjoyin' the ride.

:
Edutsi Wili the little brass ones are cute and will do what they were designed for but I think most people,me included wanted the steel ones for other purposes.

I hope I am the wait list for 3 of these.I may take Dirty Bob's idea of using a Rubbermaid ™ wastebasket
material and making some sheaths for them.I think they would make really neat little "Kneck Khukuris."

You should've see what he did with some of the Rubbermaid ™ material and a Schrade Sharpfinger.
Ingeniueous to say the least!!
It was in the general forum a while back.

If you mix milk of magnesia with vodka and orange juice do you get a phillips screwdriver?

Now that's cool! How much are these puppies gonna go for?

Jim

If you get any more of those, how much will they cost. I have a second cousin who might like one.

I quoted $5 for this first run and my estimate was too low. I'll stick with the orginial price until this run is all gone which is going to be very quick. Next time around I'll have to set the price at $10.

Hammering brass blades is one thing, hammering steel and hardening it is more work. My mistake.

Very nice! Thanks for the Pix!

I'd like to be on the list for a few from the next shipment.

Frodo would truly appreciate the workmanship

Guys, I'm not trying to advertise on the forums, so I hope it isn't taken that way, but I could probably come up with a neck/belt sheath design from Kydex or Concealex for these little suckers. I actually haven't seen the pic yet (using text-only browser), but if it is what I think it is then the price would be really reasonable. Anyway, just a thought! The Rubbermaid idea may work just as well!

I don't know how alike these little things are, but if they are all basically the same, I could get my hands on one and make a few orders' worth to save on customers' shipping costs, too. I just wish I'd been around before the first wave was spoken for! Oh well...

These look like they would be beautiful letter openers.

As far as neck knives, utility use, etc., it seems that the curved blade would be a detriment to utility or defense use on such a small knife. It seems that a straight blade would perform better on both slicing and stabbing.

Would anyone who has one care to comment? What are the practical advantages of this blade shape in a small utility knife?

Khukuri FAQ

Just ten dollars? Is this going to be part of the regular lineup?

Is that a mini belt loop or a karda and chakma I see on back of the sheath?

Uncle Bill, put me down for oh, five, with horn handles. Is it possible to have blade variations? This looks kind of like a BAS. How about a mini AK? A mini Sirupati? A mini Gelbu Special? One of those "new" kardas?

Julian, sorry but no karda and chakma with this one. Also, no frog. It is not meant for carry but for desk top use. But the blade is plenty good for stuff other than cutting paper.

Eric, it looks like this little knife will become part of the regular line up. It seems very popular.

Howard these look about the same size as the brass ones we got a while back.
They could be used very well for cutting tape and carboard, removeing staples, whitleing weiner sticks or just whitlein'.Stuck in between the fingers and used as sort of a punch dagger they would be formidible little weapons.Back cuts wouldn't be easy unless the back edge was sharpened a bit.The blade on the brass one I have is 3 3/4" long. That's longer than some of the neck knives I have seen.

Uncle Bill, The Karda/charma size question was meant to be a joke. I did not know how to make the happy face "thingie".

That knife is so cool!

Can I have one too?
