Very nice. Not cluttered up either.

What do you use to drip the LN into from the dewar (the fridge that holds the blade(s))? About how much might a small dewar and appropriate valve/gauge cost.

Pretty broad question, I know, but I'd like to have some sort of an idea to see whether I should just stick with dry ice. LN is dangerous too and I'm not sure yet I can provide an appropriate space for an LN setup.

Sabre, nice shop addition. High zoot capri.
Roger, I don't think that LN is really that bad. just take normal safety precautions, and use common sense. I have not really heard of anyone getting hurt with the stuff.
On the other hand, I have heard off accidents with other solutions used in place of LN, that were flammable.

Roger,
Liq nitro is very easy to use. Make a wire hanger and lower blade into dewar. Leave overnight. Remove. Temper twice more. Can do several blades at once. N is about $1.50/liter at the local welding supply. $15.00 to fill tank. If you search, you can find more detailed info on forums. Only thing expensive is the dewar. If you can afford the tank, it has to be easier than dry ice.

Wow Sabre, very nice set up!!! Excellent idea on using the cement board too! I can see you like roll about work stations like me, too! :) Everything in my shop has wheels on it, lol.

Thanks a bunch. I hate to stay off the main theme of your original post, but, doesn't the blade experience a great deal of thermal shock being lowered directly into the -300 F. liquid? Have you experienced problems of warp or cracking? Just asking. This is all new stuff to me.

Very nice addition and pretty cool welders in there. Looks like a big mistake was made with the location, sending my address, just kidding!

Wondered if the window covering is flammable, over the bench? Do some welding here on a bench and oh, oh, the sparks! Here, we keep a couple of fire extinguishers at the exits just in case, run or extinguish at your option. Once I set the place on fire welding with the ignited material 8 or 10 feet away and this after welding for several days, same location for everything.
