With long lonely winters it is sure nice to have someone it the shop who does not loose
tools.Last summer my long time shop dog Honey bit the big one. My four daughters
were always bringing home strays of all types (four and two legged) and they always
ended up in the shop. When I was hunting this fall Guni who has been part of our family
for seventeen years was exiled to the office above my shop.Lets see some photos of your
shop dogs.

I need to get a pic of my little shop dog. He's a good 11 lbs of pure mean-ass chipeke. 3/4 chihuahua 1/4 pekingese.

My shop is in the basement, which the cat has staked out as hers in no uncertain terms. When I've carried our Sharpei Lucy down for company she looks for the first opportunity to bolt, before the evil one finds her and scratches her eyes out! Lucy is fearless of intruders but a complete wuss when it comes to the cat... :D

Oh, and the cat does not appreciate all the noise coming from the shop, occasionally leaves me a "sign" of her displeasure.

So I work my lonely mornings and nights...

My shop dog, "Lucy."

Just got me a "shop dog," except it's more of a "garage dog" since my tools are in the garage. He's a 6 month old black lab named Lord Winston Burch. (I know, weird name.) His specialty is carrying away my sandpaper.

it must be interesting calling for her late at night if she gets out.

sorry
mike I had to.:) :D

He doesn't look too regal when he's peeing on my garage floor. For the most part I call him "dammit" for short. :D

maybe a shop dog is a bad idea??
I remember reading somwhere that Loveless's shop dog died and he got an autopsy done, its lungs were full of micarta dust.
Maybe keep them out of the rough grinding area where the dust is worst
Might have been in Bob Engnath's cataloge

IG I think you better stop feeding your dogs your special HT sauce. It is affecting their behavior.

Here's the Dixie Dog. She was my avatar until we got rid of them. This is her after a difficult heat treating. I can't get her to wear or find a respirator to fit but, she's apparently come up with her own.

ps-George, keep your relish away from her.;)

yes loveless lost a SHOP DOG TO MICARTA ETC. bruce evans had a pic of my irish terirest :D she is like a 65lb jack russel with a disney face. i leave my garage door open and put some carpeting outside so she gets a fresh brezze. when its real heavy grinding on steel or micarta she has to go upstairs to watch fox news. its a dogs life!

I know this ain't no dog. This is Clinton, named after a famous president. He's not allowed in the shop but does scratch himself on the corner of it......
