Anyway, I thought all the crap in your yard was the guardian. Y'know to break the ankles of anyone who tries to sneak in :D
 
yes the oak logs i have drying serve as dual purpose. they are booby traps for people trying to sneak over here at night and also are drying out to be used later for cooking on. so what you think about my shop guardian? looks like me doesnt he.
 
Yeah he does look like you actually. Did you carve that or actually pay money for it? I'm surprised IG hasn't gotten in on this thread yet, heh...

Just like you, IG doesn't have a moustache.....but the rest looks somewhat familiar....

A neighbor put one of those up on a tree near the road I often travel....first time I saw it , said HUH!?

well i just ordered 35 feet of 1080 at 1/8"x1.5". im going to be away from my comp and my smithy for about 2 days starting this evening. once i get my steel ill be out there even more. im already modifying a couple of blades that i purchased.

I'm in the running for that record too, but I HAVE actually modified some production knives and made a couple KSO's :D

In all seriousness and with respect, I wouldn't have gotten even as far as I have without so much help, info and encouragement from you guys. Thanks, as always :)
 
same here. the reason why i asked so many questions was to figure out how to better make knives and different tecniques. yalls answers to my questions helped me figure things out better than yall thought they would and putting some of the answers together made me think of other ways and different ways. thanks a million to all of yall.
