A great opportunuty to throw out junk. But like the rest of us you'll probably get sentimental about it and save it !

Jack, I hope your move goes well and is stress free. My wife and I have lived in 4 different states in the last 15 years due to her job. Moving sucks and is very stressful for me personally. The crappy thing is we will likely be moving again late this year. If things go well though, it will be the last time (I hope). I was born and raised here in Tennessee and as much as I enjoy it, I can't wait to get back down south. Hopefully back to Florida. The older I get, the more I hate ANY cold weather of any kind. Enough about me though. Again, I hope everything goes well for you and yours on your move!

Thanks for the well wishes . We never thought the house would sell . We could not decide about moving so for the heck of it we put it on the market . Just a local realtor , no MLS , just a window with pictures and a web site . We even asked more than most around us , must have been that 832 sq. ft. shop which sold it . Now we are packing and looking for a place to live.

Or the Okanogan Valley! Just sayin'. I need another good maker over here to hatch up crazy schemes with/beg advice from.

Jack, I feel your pain. We put our house on the market 15% higher than the agent suggested and it sold in 23 days and we had to close in 12. It took me 9 months to get my shop back up and running. My wife wanted to make that a priority. Man I love that gal.

Hey Adam,

4 states in 15 years? You in the witness protection program?

LMAO William! Nope I'm not on the lamb. My wife reminded me how fuzzy my memory is though and 15 yrs isn't accurate. It's been 20.

When I graduated high school in 1994, I got on a bus in July headed to Chicago to see the Dead (awesome show btw). Met my future wife there and I never went home. Stayed in Chicago for a couple years, then we moved to Wilmington, NC and my wife finished up school at UNC. That's also where my daughter was born in 2000. My wife was offered a job in Lakeland, Fl in 2002 so that was our next destination. Then I got word my father was ill in 2007 so I talked her into moving back here to TN so I could spend some time with him. I was able to get 2 good years in with him before he passed in 09. My son was born just a few months after we arrived here in TN. My kids are really the reason we've stayed this long, but my wife is a Senior Manager at FedEx and we want to transfer south again. She's just waiting on the right location to become available (hopefully back to Florida). The last 20 years has been crazy for sure, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Moving is no fun at all. We;ve been in this house/shop for nearly three years and I'm still not 100% unpacked/organized. I've told my wife if we ever move again I will strongly consider just burning the whole dang property to the ground and start over from scratch.
