Shop owner thwarts robbery with large shiny sword

I thought this was going to be a made you look thread. But it is more amazing than I could have imagined.

It's not a particularly safe area at night. That corner store has seen huge turn over in terms of business coming and going. I wish these dudes the best. Go by there every day, have to go meet these guys in person I think.
 
His whole attitude and message about the incident is refreshing. I'm not sure I would reach for a sword, if I had a gun in my back pocket. That perp was lucky he ran into a man that seems concerned with his residents.

I think so too. Sometimes it's good to give a little boost when you can.
 
An amazing story. The last time that I saw a sword like that there was a belly dancer under it.

Cool story. Cool sword..I think the last time I'e seen anything like that was in a Bugs Bunny cartoon though.
