Shop Supplies?

so what should i start getting for shop supplies????
acetone
epoxy
etc?
suggestion on preferred rand and distributors would be greatly appreciated

It just dawned on me, this must mean that you're graduating from Grasshopperage! What is IG gonna do now??? :eek: I'm planning on investigating some Nelsonite that I've heard mentioned frequently because they say it gives a more natural feel on bone, and antler. IIRC, Darren Ellis sells it. I'm going to check out some Brownell's Acraglass for sticking things together. Both seem to get high marks from what I've heard around here. I'll also be checking out some local steel sources because I hate suprises in the mail. Mainly, I'm just trying to accumulate all the bits and pieces that I can until shop building time starts later this summer. I wish that I had accumulated as much practical knowledge as you have, because there is definately going to be a few strange moments on this journey. Oh yeah, the fridge, for beer, seems to be a biggie :D
 
no he'll always be m teacher and i'll still bug him when i get a chance but i'm tryig to set up shp for those times when he's busy or when i only have a little time to work. i just need to acumulate a list of needed things from acetone and squirt bottles to ferric chloride and pin stock
 
I have a new setup, you can't enter my shop unless I give you a card to swipe thru the lock and everthing has magnetic tags so it will set off a alarm when leaving. :p :p :D Jag is also going thru attack dog training school. He will knock you down and lick your ankles to death. :eek:
