I had a 3/16" ream that I use for my pivots that I burned the tip on and came real close to pitching in the trash but kept for some reason. Today it came in handy!
I set up a square on my disc sander and ground away, dipping in my dip bucket frequently, all the part that was burnt and used it to get the bottom of a blind hole flat so a stop pin on a frame lock would go all the way in and sit right.
Sure am glad I saved it!
