For hand sanding I use "Tadpole Contour Sanders" from the Woodworking Shop (www.woodworkingshop.com). They are hard rubber sanding forms that come in variuos contours. I bought a pack that has a flat form and four round forms that also included a thin sanding pad for gluing to a block all for $3.95. I've been using them for a year and they look like they did when I bought them. They have other packs with various shapes that might fit you sanding needs at the same price. They get more use then my other sanding tools (i.e. Micarta blocks) and they make a great holiday gift.
