ed, thanks for the tips, i test mine with everyday chores, like the other day i chopped up so tree branches, so i could throw them away. also i cut threw 2 2x4's, and various other wooden things, i field tested a ka-bar, i had it chip, part of the blade melted away (long story, but if anyone wants to hear i'll tell you, don't have the time know) it chiped 5 times along the edge when i cut down a maple tree with it, and wouldn't hold an edge very long. well, it's not a knife i'd want to use in the military.
