Dexter Ewing's thread in the Custom Forum about his new Denning knives finally motivated me to scan my pics of a recent visit to GenO's shop. Most pics are self-explanatory, but I added some commentary to each one. For those who have heard of George Herron's hollow grinding jig, there's a great shot of one in use.

I've had a couple of opportunities to spend time at GenO's place. He and his lovely wife Cindy have been fantastic hosts.

Kelly,
Thanks for sharing those! He who dies with the most knifemaking equipment wins

I'm just at the point where I'm starting to double up with some machinery. So far it's just a second grinder, drill press and buffer. It's amazing how much time is saved by having more than one of the same machine!
I can tell by some of the modifications to GenO's machines, he's a pretty handy guy! He definatly has his "____" together!

Well Kelly, which one of those blanks was my knife? And Dexter, to answer your guestion, who is going to be brave enough to tell a man looking like a true caveman that you don't want to buy a knife?

Lmao Dex, now I wish I had bought one of those giraffe bones at the show!!
Kelly, thanks for the shop tour!! That is one fine looking shop, and super clean too! Gives us all something to shoot for someday. Did Geno make that grinding jig or are they on the market?? Take care! Michael

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!http://www.nebsnow.com/L6steel

Hi Michael - I enjoyed getting to meet and hang out with you at the Blade Show. As for the jig, GenO made it himself. He's had several inquiries about it, and is supposed to send me some pics of it broken down. When I get 'em, I'll post them for everyone to see.
