Shopping for a holster, need suggestions.

I've been trying to decide on a holster for my Ruger Sp101. It's one of the 3" barrel models. I have been having a little trouble finding one. It will mainly be used when I'm out in the woods so I'm not overly concerned with it being a concealed holster. Any suggestions on brands that are durable and comfortable?
 
I have a Tagua paddle for my SR9 that I really like, but those SRs also look sweet.
 
I have Triple K leather holsters on my Ruger GP100 4", Redhawk .44 in 4" and 5.5" blackhawk .41. Very quality leather holsters at a very fair price. Even their basic models are beautifully tanned and thick, good fitting leather.
 
Check out Fobus Holsters. Easy on /off without removing your belt. Secure retention , Easy to clean. weather proof for the most part.Ive been happy with mine for many yrs.
 
Another vote here for Simply Rugged. My dad has one for his 3" SP101 and I have one for my Ruger P90. For my Ruger LCR revolver I have a Mitch Rosen holster and it's top notch. I would say it's much better fit and finish than my Simply Rugged holster but it also cost more if I remember right.
 
For production stuff Galco does a nice job

I have an El Paso Saddlery Street Fighter for a Smith and Wesson N frame. I used it out in the woods last season and it worked great. I need to try a Simply Rugged.
 
I have a Simply Rugged Sourdough Pancake for my Super Blackhawk Bisley 3.75" barrel. The holster is simply rugged:) and comfortable for all-day carry, although the Ruger is HEAVY. The prices are reasonable and the delivery times are fast.
 
the lone gunman.Does the Fobus holster being shorter than the barrel cause any problems. I'am looking for a holster for my SP101 I lke the easy on off feature.Not sure if I like the barrel sticking out of the holster.I have Galco and Simply Rugged for other guns both very well made just want to try something different this time

widwilly, I just grabbed that pic quickly off the Fobus website,I think its just one of several designs.I use one for my Taurus 85 and it covers the barrel ,other than being open at the bottom.
 
One of my favorite pistols. I have tried just about every brand of holsters for all my various holsters and I always come back to the crossbreed super-tuck. Just can't beat it.

Give El Paso Saddlery at look. They have different ones and also lined holsters .
