Shopping for an EDC Fixed Blade

I have some nice fixed blade custom knives but am always hesitant to really use them. While shopping for an EDC fixed blade I happened on the Case Drop point Hunter with rosewood scales here:

The knife seems like a nice candidate and at somewhere about $70 bucks from discounters seems a decent deal and with a leather sheath. I tried searching for this knife for previous evaluations and either the serach isn't working or there was nothing found. Advice appreciated on this or any suggestions. Thanks, Ed

For $70 I'd see what I could get from Bark River. Maybe not much, but worth a look.

If you're willing to go $20 more, check out an Eddie White custom. www.shadowknives.com.

The Case is probably a fine knife, but seems (to me) a little overpriced.

I suggest looking at the custom fixed blades for sale on this website there are a lot of good offerings for between 100-150 a lot of really good deals in my opinion. I would personally suggest one of Daniel Koster's designs.

The small one in this picture is my fixed EDC when I choose to carry a fixed blade to work/around town:

I'm with Sam (ParaGlock) an Eddie White in the Model IX (mini, regular, or larger one) for $20 more with a great sheath and shipped is money very well spent. I only have one right now, the sub or min version, but when things get perked back up, I'm planning on a few more. Just a darned fine knife, handmade at a production price. Sometimes I put in on my belt and other times I'll just drop it in the pocket.

Bark River does have some blades I hope to latch onto in the future.

Not knocking the Case, I happen to like Case knives, but for a few bucks more you can get a real fine knife from Eddie. The only connection I have is that of a satisfied customer, like a few of us on here.

I just today recieved a Bill Seigle blade in a trade and cannot even begin to explain how happy this little cutter makes me. These guys would make an excellent EDC.
