Shops in North Carolina?

I will be in the Greensboro area soon (the thirteenth) and was wondering if there are any stores that are must sees with regards to cutlers. I am from Cleveland OH and there is a sad deficit of knife stores here...so if there are any, please let me know. I would really appreciate it...

You are hatin' it. The only GOOD knife shop (Beck's Cutlery) is in Cary, which is about an hour, hour-fifteen east of Greensboro (right outside of Raleigh). It is worth the trip. I think they have a website. They have a great selection of Randalls, Chris Reeve, Spyderco, Benchmade, Bauchop (sp?), etc. Let me know if you need directions or the phone number. Other than that, Arrington Police Distributors on Elm St. in G'boro has all the current Benchmades and CRKT line of folders (bring your gun and as many reloads as possible

). I think they are only open from 8-5:30 weekdays. Southern Firearms on West Market has a few Benchmades and a FEW Spydercos, but they suck on price. You won't find any bargains at any of these stores (nor should you expect to). You are SOL after that.

If you are lucky, the stars are in alignment, and you've sold you're first child, and their is a gun/knife show in Charlotte, you will get to meet the infamous NCKK (North Carolina Knife Knuts) and hang at Bubba's barbecue. There is always a plethora of high-end tactical and fancy schmancy cutlery at the restaurant after the show (always better than what's AT the show). Dexter Ewing usually has the show schedule. The stars are aligned!!! There is a C&E Gun and Knife show at Metrolina in Charlotte that weekend. Greensboro is about 2hrs.? away. Best bet is to mail Dexter. He will have all the particulars. Good luck and hope to see you there. BTW Charlotte is always a good show and a big one.

When is the next gun/knife show at the GSO coliseum? That one doesn't seem to get as much press as the ones at the fairgrounds in raleigh.
 
The Greensboro shows are usually in January and August. The knife content is usually sparse.

Thank you all for your help! I will only be in town on the thirteenth, for a fencing competition. Without a doubt, I will check out Arrington Police Distributors there in town. I am a junior in high school, and not driving there, and my dad isn't quite up for another four hours round trip to charlotte (dangit) so i'm afraid i won't be there. there wouldn't be anything in winston-salem, would there? it's right on our way...
