Greetings Gentlemen:

The only stipulations the client made on this Rickett's Glen Bowie is killer wood and sharp as heck. The wood is stabilized claro walnut with crotch flame figure.

11" OAL
6" Blade
.250" W-2 Stock

All comments welcome.

V/R,

Very nice hamon I like that, I also like the darker leather, is that W&C or did you dye that yourself?

Thanks Scott - the hamon was obtained without clay. The leather is W&C, oak colored skirting, that was treated with Neatsfoot Oil, which darkens the oak color to a rich dark brown.

I love this. I have always been a fan of the work that Bob Engnath did. He made such great knives for his time, and he did a lot with that style of guard (I think of it as a saddle-type guard, but I don't know if there is a real name for it).

This is a style I want to make, once I finish my current Chinese Sword commission. I really like what you have done with this knife, as I said elsewhere. Take care,

Nice! those handle curve were almost to much for me but then I decided you just nailed them. Beautiful.

I appreciate the kind feedback gentlemen - thanks for commenting :)
