Roger P will be posting a super photo and information laden thread shortly.
Hughes Award, Best New MS knife: John Perry
Peck Award, Best New JS knife: Tommy Gann
Cutting Competion Results:
1. Reggie Barker
2. Adam Des Rosiers
3. Daniel Winkler
4. Dan Farr
5. Dickie Robinson
Jerry Fisk did a super job moderating and swarms of MS judges insured complete fairness. All the competition knives were all super and there was a big crowd of 600+ to observe the action. Reggie was clearly the "old pro" and has really developed excellent cutting techniques to compliment his steel. Also Reggie was the coolest and most confident of the competitors, his being the defending champion didn't hurt either! Nerves and sweaty palms tripped up the other competitors, not any deficiencies in their blades.
It was a real treat to watch, great fun, and would make a super episode for one of the outdoor TV channels!
