Sort of....Indiana to South Carolina, back to Indiana, to California and back to Indiana.... And well worth it.
As some may recall, my prized possession (Aged Bronze Short Butaniku), took a spill on July 4th (INFI meet concrete slab= less than ideal edge, with some surface damage)...
And even though aesthetics don't really matter when it comes to ideal performance.... Glistening, beautiful steel does bring a smile to my face...... So, my quest began (amongst expert recommendations...you guys[emoji106]), with the help of two Masters (Josh at Razor Edge Knives and Ban Tang at Ban Tang Knives), and the Short Butaniku took on its new svelte form....
Fit/Finish and Handle Modifications
Thanks to Josh at Razor Edge Knives (South Carolina):
Bead blasting process (you can see the undercoat in the middle portion)...
Handle modification (amazing sculpting).....
End product: Before Edge conversion (V to Convex):
On to the next Master..... Ban Tang (California): Fully Convexed/Mirrored.... Atom splitting beauty
Before...
After...
Flawless...
Much thanks to Josh at Razor Edge Knives and Ban Tang at Ban Tang Knives....True Masters.... And of course THE MASTER, Mr. Busse, for this would not have been possible without his creation.
