We had beautiful weather yesterday and tried to go for a walk but it didn't work out. We decided to make up for it today, though the weather wasn't nearly as nice. I bundled up the little guy and prepared Thor for his first extended walk on a leash and grabbed the camera on the way out.

We didn't stay out long because the snow turned into a very cold rain and the puppy was shivering. It was real nice to get us all out in the woods, even if we didn't stay long. I love when the snow isn't quite sticking, the fall colors are still everywhere, and the sprigs of green here and there haven't been killed off by the frost yet.

Great shots man, I love being out this time of year! I used to have a Black Lab named Thor. Man he had a loud bark lol.

Pitdog, Thor's dad is a pitbull and his mom is a pitbull/beagle. He doesn't seem to have a whole lot of beagle in him but it's a little early to tell.

I'm not sure what kind of tree is in the pic. I kinda just ran up to it and snapped the pic and to be honest, my tree-identification skills are shameful. The thing is pretty crazy though and is still about 40 or so feet tall, despite it's Swiss cheese trunk.

The shot across the creek into the woods looks like the place my dad & I used to hunt when I was carrying a .410 shotgun with no shells, just his way of seeing how I would handle it at the ripe age of 10. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. .:)
Be safe.
