Short fixed blades?

Does anybody have any recommendations for a fixed short blade (ie Boker Gnome) with a pocket clip on the sheath meaning no neck knives please. I'm not looking for a specific blade length as my state has no limit but I'd like something comfortable for urban edc. Dual use basic utility and SD would be nice. Thanks.

The crkt sting by ag russel is a perfect small fixedblade with a blade length of 3 in. Its good for for the average utilitarian and its a bit over 6 in so it will fit in your pocket. Not sure about how the sheath system works on the knife though

I don't have any recommendations but how far are you looking to have it in your pocket, with the sheath farther down in your pocket and the handle at pocket level (think folder) or with the sheath at pocket level and the handle sticking out?

Handle sticking out of more preferably on my belt under my shirt.

I would recommend looking at custom maker's knives. I have a JK knife and a DCL that I EDC regularly they are about 2.5 and 3 inches respectively. They both came with pocket sheaths but maybe you can request a different option from the maker for belt carry.

Other than the customs, I've carried a Beker bk11 as well as a CRKT Minimalist. Both of these can be carried on the belt.

Spyderco is coming out with a new Swick this week. Buy one and get a sheath made to your specs.

I carry an esee4 without any issues. Im a small guy but nobody notices it. Not too heavy and next to indestructible. Wear a longer tshirt or even just a normal button down and it conceals perfectly in your back pocket.

Bark river micro Canadian in a custom kydex by Buy Brown changed my thinking on small fixed blades. I wore it horizontally on my front right belt. Now I carry the larger mini Canadian. Both nice.

I too would recommend a custom. Good deals to be found and now that I have started to make my own knives and custom rigs, I feel as though many of the makers offer better quality for less money.

Cool, what kind of scales did you order? Are you also getting a sheath or does the stock sheath still work with aftermarket scales?

The fit of the bk11 in the sheath has some play, not like the knife is going to fall out, but it rattles in the sheath. I don't know if it's just my particular sheath or they're all like that. Might want to look into a replacement sheath too.

The BK11 is a great choice.
I just went with para cord on mine but may go with some other type handle in the future.

I have several nice folders that I carry more. When I carry a FB it's because I want something stout. My fav small fixed is my Strider SA-GG.
