Short Ka-bar

Has anyone had any experience with the Short Ka-Bar - are there any advantages/disadvantage over the standard length.
 
They shrank it proportionally... I didn't like that... they should have just cut it down two inches.

It's got a better cutting profile than the Air Force Survival Knife, but not as strong. It's a great knife if you don't have heavy jobs for it, and if you need a shorter knife to stay within legal limits, but if you don't, I think you oughta stick with the 7 incher...
 
MM said it pretty good. I've carried one the last 2-1/2 years while woods-walking and hunting and it has performed well (dressing deer, digging out arrows, cutting small branches, etc.). My only minor complaint is that the handle is a little on the small side, but it's not a real problem. One the plus side, I think it's easier to carry around than the full size model.
