... but I bet you already knew that. :)

Knifemaking is whatever you want it to be,... or whatever you make of it.

... It's always about you. :)

1) Knifemaking is
e) All of the above

2) All good knife designs have already been conceived -True- while there are many variations and allowances for style and preference, the basic cutting tool was essentially perfected thousands of years ago. I've seen with my own eyes museum pieces that predate the written word, and they're basically no different than the utility/hunters we make today.

3) Which knife design criteria is most important to you?
a) Fitness for a specific purpose

4) Which knife design criteria do most customers ask about?
a) Fitness for a specific purpose

5) "Good enough" means...
b) As good as I can make it using current skills, tools, and supplies "good enough" is never enough. I haven't been 100% satisfied with one of my own knives yet, and I may never be. The drive for improvement leads to growth... I hope.

Cool thread, Greg. I'm sure the answers will be interesting. C'mon guys, they're fair questions. Chime in!

f) None of the above
What I do, it is as much a part of me as breathing, yet there is always something to learn, improve upon, or express myself through. Yeah I just started this last year so maybe I am still a little dreamy eyed:o
2) All good knife designs have already been conceived

3) Which knife design criteria is most important to you?

d) Other
Everything must blend together in a balanced finished product that I would be proud to say I made
4) Which knife design criteria do most customers ask about?

c) Specific charcateristics (hardness/toughness/edge retention)
but all the other stuff comes up too, if they don't bring it up I do so they know as much as they can about their knife
5) "Good enough" means...

e) Other
As good as I can then I go back and do it again till I can't improve on it any more
