So, I've got a handful of Spydie's that I am wanting to pick up. Because the holidays are rolling around I'm limiting myself to one so I can take care of my friends and family through the season. I do use my knives and do cut a lot of box, tape, rope, and webbing cutting in my work. I'll end up getting all of these at some point but was hoping I could get some opinions to sway me one direction or the other for now or maybe end up with some new knives on the radar. Any and all help is appreciated!

GB Air
Gayle Bradley
Domino

3 good choices.

But out of the 3, for the better working knife, I'd choose the Gayle Bradley.
M4 steel and overbuilt liners, this knife is built to take abuse.

Domino! Flippers are fun, Framelocks are strong. Titanium is cool. (I think theres a poem/ryme in there somewhere) :)
Air would be my second choice, nice litte knife that would excell at opening holiday packages

The Gayle Bradley is probably the best choice of the 3 for the work you described. The Domino would also do well in this role, but the GB's M4 and hollow grind would likely give you better performance. You can't go wrong either way, these are all awesome knives.

Looks like it'll probably be the GB then. Thanks for the input guys, this decision has been driving me nuts. I'm really looking forward to seeing how M4 cuts next to XHP.

Any mods that are particularly favored in terms of blade geometry?

For your intended use, the Gayle Bradley will suit your needs the best. The Domino is ok, but you might find the blade length a little lacking. The Air is fine for light work, and is more suited to slacks since it doesnt have a clip.

Of the 3, the toughest one would be the Gayle Bradley. The hollow-ground CPM-M4 will not disappoint you, just keep up with regular maintenance. It's also going to be the cheapest of the 3.

I agree, the GB will probably be best for now. The hollow ground blade is nice and thin behind the edge, but not so thin that it'll compromise edge strength. I really like the handle texture too! Not too grippy that it'll rip up your pants, but grippy enough to allow a great grip.
