Short sword looking blade?

what is that thing? it looks like a short sword. I see pics of it all over Ban's forum but don't have a clue what it really is

is it strong enough to use for a camp machette or general purpose blade, or is it more or a tacticool blade?
 
I think you are referring to the Tigress. You can check them out here and here.

It is strong enough to do anything you would need to with it. One is A2 the other is CPM M4. It would make a great camp machete. Ban doesn't make tacticool blades he makes tactikill blades.

You guys really want me to make a sword huh.....??? Been wanting to do that for a while. Let me think about it a bit more. I have a big 1/4" X 2.5" X 36" piece of A2 that I can play with. It would make for a heavy power chopper but I kinda like the idea of a more nimble and fast 3/16" thick sword. I might just make that beast just for kicks.
 
Considering how well your Tigeress did the other night on the 2x4, I suspect even a nimble and fast 3/16" sword would chop well enough :thumbup: Any ideas as to what kind of sword?
 
Yep, the Tiiiigeress sure held its own. I was actually pleasantly surprised how fast it ate through that 2X4. I think I counted 6 chops.

I might just use what I have now and make the more heavy duty 1/4" thick sword.
