Just put an edge on this one.
It's 1095 steel w/ 1018 fittings.
21" overall. Blade is 15. 7/8" X 1. 5/8" X 1/4" thick.
The handle is 4. 7/8" long w/ scales of curly maple.
It weighes 29 oz. and balances 3" forward of the guard
making it nimble for such a big knife.

Thanks for looking,
Mike

Looks great! Do you think it would hold up as a machete?

And where/when are you selling this one?

This one sold in the maker's fixed blades for sale section
as a Field Cutlass (Short Sword is too general a name).
If I post it in the gallery, it's usually will be on it's way
to the for sale section shortly.

This would excell as a heavy machete (29 oz.).
There's not much not to hold up. It's steel welded
to steel with wood epoxied into a channel between
the bolster and pommel side pieces.

Thanks for looking,
Mike

I realy like the big rugged look of your knives, but I always seem to stumble upon them right after they have sold! :grumpy:

Guess I'll have to keep a closer eye on the for sale section. :)
