Short Video of these two field blades chopping a pine log, neither blade is a real heavy chopper persay, but they both did well taking into account the light weight of thes blades. The BWM weighs 23oz ves the TM at 17oz.

anderson thank you for the video i love these movies . one thing many members are'nt aware is how hard the work is cutting mature seasoned timber. this is a different animal from chopping the 4 in. saplings. emergency shelter can be made from smaller limbs but this drives home the fact that real wood cutting means using an axe not a hatchet.was that a coniferous species or a hardwood my guess not pine. if pine your soft woods seem tuffer than ours in tex. thanks man.

nice man
could not help to notice that you had to regrip more often on the bwm and were a little slower.
myself I would have to give the edge to the trailmaster, a full one third lighter and seemed to throw out chips better from the end result.
the bwm is a damn good looking knife however.

Yeah it was hard pine, seasoned pine.

The slabs on the BWM are just a little small for me, I have big hands.
