Short Video of these two field blades chopping a pine log, neither blade is a real heavy chopper persay, but they both did well taking into account the light weight of these blades. The BWM weighs 23oz ves the TM at 17oz.

I was going to a direct one between the CGFBM and the BWM, but it wouldn't have been fair at all and the CGFBM is a safe queen now. ;)

cool thanks for posting the video...

It would have been hilarious if you accidentally chopped the CS trail master handle off when it slid over... take that CS knife ! :)

BWM is now my most favorite of all my big knives, one day I'll get one of her chunky sisters

Nice Ankerson, you could tell both knives were not that heavy, by how deep they cut and by how hard you were swinging. That woods pine right. I would assume that your ffbm would have bit deeper with the extra weight. All in All a pretty good comparison between the two though. Thanks for sharing,

I did a 2nd video of the FFBM chopping the same log to show the difference, it's uploading now. :D

Yeah it's a huge difference. :D

I'll be back I'm going to get some Popcorn and Beer! :D And wait for the show to start! :)

Wow, when I saw the thread title I thought this isn't going to be a fair fight, but from the last pic, it looks like the TrailMaster won. Of course all things taken into account the TM is an inferior knife, but in this specific test it looks like it did very well.

The TM is no joke, it's not a bad knife at all, it's not a big chopper though.

Like I said neither knife is a big heavy chopper and to me they did pretty much the same.

The Busse is a better blade overall though IMO.

I like being honest and fair about things and tell it like it is and it's on video. :)
