Hey guys! I been practicing with my True Flight Thrower from Cold Steel but I decided to see what the Magnum Kukri would do, You guys take it easy on me, This was really my first week at throwing knifes and such, I am still working on my form and getting it down lol.

Nice throws :)
Throwing a Kukri isn't easy but it's a lot of fun. I throw my Kukri Machete often.
You should come along and compete in our Cold Steel Challenge, I think you'd have a blast :D

Not bad, man! I like the idea of machete throwing.

Btw, you might want to consider hanging a target on that tree so you don't kill it ;)

Hey Cold Steel! Yeah I am still trying to get it down. If I lived closer I most definitely would!

Havent tried my magnum Kukri throwing yet but last summer I had to survey and divide 800 acres of the roughest mtn terrain in North Georgia and my two Cold Steel Magnum Kukri machetes as well as two of the two handed long handled ones made the cuts much more precise and long sightings possible saving me a couple of days work. They all came back ready to go again and were very easy to sharpen in the field as we worked our way through solid walls of mountain laurel and rhododendron. Great tools!!

Try doing it no spin. I'll bet it works well. I throw a military kukri that way and because or its weight and length it is capable of great ranges.

Tried a Cold Steel Magnum Kukri at my nephews targets last weekend. Used no-spin. I had to choke up a bit on the rear of the blade to get much range but it was flying perfectly out to 15 or 20 feet by the time we were done. At lesser ranges handle throwing seemed to work better (no-spin also). It is so long that when attached to the end of your arm very little effort is necessary to control and eliminate spin at shorter ranges. I wonder if the regular kukri machete wouldn't work better. The Magnum Kukri blade blade is a bit light and tends to catch a bit of air if it turns in flight at all. The regular sized one has less blade surface area and might be more aerodynamic. I'll borrow one and try it out!

I had a chance to try throwing a Cold Steel Kukri Machete regular model today. It throws really well and out performed my magnum model for controllability and distance. Great throwers and inexpensive but best of all, useful for most other camp tasks and clearly tools rather than weapons.
