The Game Warden seems to be open to mods. I was thinking this blade size for me is probably about 99% cutting/slicing and I could get by without quite so much leverage from the handle.

Hats off to Mr. Brown and Grinducci and the others who have modified their Wardens! Nice work! I have neither the equipment or skill to modify my sage and have it come out looking like anything useful. Not as nice as what you guys have done! To avoid destroying a good knife I enlisted the help of my computer guy at work that made me a short warden with a photo chop. I dont remember who made this original photo and I hope you dont mind that I borrowed it.

Thought I'd throw it out there for your consideration. I would like to try one of these or maybe a short Scrapyard model for an easy to carry, heavy duty cutting blade. Man I DO love my Game Wardens!

Personally I wouldn't call a .187+ blade with the stock GW edge profile a slicer, but I do love 'em! Despite that, get 'er done!!

No offense intended toward Busse products by this post, but rather than chop your GW, you might consider getting a John Greco Dangler. It's certainly lighter-duty (and lower cost) than your GW, but is a capable little knife and it sounds like you're not needing the full GW ruggedness in your EDC. I own several Grecos and like them a lot.

Man, that is really interesting! I'd love to hold one like that in hand. I think I'd be afraid to do it to one of mine, but go for it if you think you'd like it...
