Finally hit the 5 foot mark. Was only out there for about 30 minutes when this one rolled. Man was it a good fight. Had to tighten down the drag before it spooled me. After I got it to the bank I tied have a dozen half hitches around my pvc rod holder and grabbed my backup bow and shot it just far enough back to where I could get the snare around its head and under the gills. Here is a pic. Don't have a scale to weigh it but it was HEAVY!!! It had a 26 inch girth. I'm guessing it weighed right about 60#s. Each fillet filled a 1 gallon ziplock bag with no room to spare. I shot it about 60 feet away and only had about 5 feet of line left on the reel before it would have snagged on the spinner head. Funny part is right after I got it up and measured it I look back at the river just to see another 4 footer roll!!!!!
