What a fun little .22 LR. When I first saw it in the box I thought this was going to be a joke to shoot. But when I loaded it with .22 Firestorm rounds and shot, it was a blast. Its small like a walther .380, and it doesn't catch your hand and it has a nice trigger pull. It solid all the way through and its weight can have you shooting all day as long as someone is loading the .22s into your magazines. :p I don't own one, but the range guy let me shoot his. I looked it up later in the internet and found out its made in Argentina.
Has anyone shot or own this little gun. I might buy it off the range guy if I can't find one available.

never shot one of those, but have handled one at the local toy store. Felt solid and locked up reliably. Next to knives .22's might be the second most addictive hobby around! I personally own four 10/22's and a couple remington's and those are just the rifles. I know it can be a sin to direct traffic away from such a great site, but have you checked out rimfirecentral.com? Great site, great people and all rimfire! They even have a custom knife forum! Glad to hear you had fun with it.

LOVE this little pistol. I just took it to the range today in fact. I had been looking for a light .22 semi-auto to use as a trail gun and was debating between a Ruger, Browning and Walther. I'd shot all three and really liked them all for different reasons. I had finally settled on the Walther P22 because I really wanted something small to go in my pack. I read up about the P22 and was a little concerned about the reliability issues some people reported. Once I picked up a Firestorm the search was over. Aluminum frame, steel slide, simple to maintain, heavy barrel (uses the same barrel as the bersa 380), great sights. After some range time I can tell you that you do need to use high velocity ammo to make it cycle properly but it is very accurate and the trigger is actually quite good. Pick one up if you can find one. I've heard they can be hard to come by. I think they are made in limited runs because they use the same assembly line as the very popular Bersa 380. Not sure about that, just what I've read elsewhere. Bersas are well made and real sleepers in the US market, especially these little Firestorm .22's.

Bersa makes a great gun for the money. Their 380 autos are very solid performers.

Maybe I have an oddball, but I have an old Bersa 380 that I wouldn't give away. A friend and I determined that we'd have to add about 3/8" of height to the front sight to get it in the ballpark. If I wanted to hit the chest at 3yd, I'd have to aim for the feet!

It's good to hear that others have had better luck.

(I should probably add that my pistol was probably made in the 80's. Newer stuff is likely much different)
