This may be stretching the term "knife" a bit, but I'm looking for a moulding knife for a wood turing project.
I need to turn several tool chisel handles for my 18th century tool box I'm bringing to the National Muzzleloading Rifle Associations June shoot in Friendship Indiana. I don't have a wood lathe so I use my Atlas Craftsman machine lathe. I need two cutter knives made that I can park in the tool post and turn down the handles I need. The cutters need to be made of the same steel that shaper knives and molding head knives are made from (M2, D2?). I can't make these but I was told a good knife maker can grind them out if I supply the pattern. He suggested I ask here. Anyone interested drop me a note at my email. Thanks
