monday morning the 16th.....

What great fun !! I couldn't believe the sheer magnitude of the SHOT Show.... two huge halls filled up. Absolutely amazing.
When I went looking for SOG someone told me , "Oh, they're in the OTHER hall."

SOG had a great setup, right on the main aisle, lots of floor space. I only chatted with Chris for 15 seconds, everyone was quite busy, no need to interrupt.

But alas, no Recon Bowie's being handed out as souvenirs.

Cheers,

Carl

New Pig Hunter, Glad you had a great time, did you get to see any of the new knives ? If not, maybe they will post some pics soon. Was you tired of walking when you got home ? Rest up and tell us more when you get time.:)

Did you tell Chris who you were? They had some little "gifts" for Forumites...;)

I saw all the new knives but being a fixed-blade kinda guy, I couldn't quite slide away from the fixed blade display cabinet. My pal Tim (who works about 5 miles from SOG in Lynnwood) was quite overjoyed playing with all the new knives and got into quite the chat with one of the SOG fellows there (and it's embarassing to admit I cannot recall his name).
Also "neat" was Saturday afternoon, Mr SOG was chatting with this rather large and well-built guy. I eased a bit closer to look at his name badge.... it was CJ Buck... Mr BUCK !!

I did tell Chris who I was, he recognized my Forum moniker. But he was very busy at the moment and didn't have time for yak and chat, he was helping a genuine customer.
If any "gifts" for Forumites were being handed out, I missed out.

Nope, I didn't get tired of walking. My pals and I stayed at the Imperial Palace and walked back & forth each day, we need the exercise and enjoy the sunshine and "fresh" air.
Plus our I.P. bartender took very very good care of us each afternoon. Tucked back in the I.P. behind the casino is the Mai Tai Bar. Don the bartender makes a superlative Bloody Mary !!

Cheers,

Carl

Carl, sounds like you had a lot of fun. Did you get a chance to take any pictures while you were there? Also, did you see Loretta or any of the other SOG girls?:D
