Howdy,

Does anyone know if the plain blade versions of the 2013 Shot Show Griptilians were limited to 250 pieces? Or was it only the combo blades?

The reason I ask is that I saw a picture of a plain edged blade marked "... of 250" and I was under the impression these were limited to 750.

Anyone have thoughts on the matter?

I believe, the GP knives limited M4 was limited to 250. Someone probably had a comboedge shot show and would rather have had a plain edge. They probably swapped blades to create the desired configuration.

Others know more than I. I have the black/red G-10 version and it's up to 750.

Can't remember where I bought mine, but I can check my records. Think it was KW.

I believe the knife you saw might be the xxx/250 black blade s30v a guy was offering for sale yest'y-- it's a KW LE.

There was a 750 limit on the plain and 250 limit on the combo. Someone was auctioning one that obviously was supposed to have a combo edge as it had the code for it on the box, but it had a plain edge. Someone at Benchmade made a mistake on that one.

I thought it was 750 P/E & 250 C/E

"More pictures and less speculation"
I dont have a C/E, not my thing. But I do know for sure they made 600.
(My highest numbered example)

I actually just won the knife on ebay.

Here's a link to a video the first owner did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31ubdfXeNSo.

I suppose it was intended to be serrated but made it out of the factory without the serrations. I guess in a way it is the most unique of the Shot Show 2013 Griptilians?

Not a bad pick for my first Benchmade I guess. Although, I don't think I'll be making it an EDC or a real user for that matter. I'll leave the hard use for the next Benchmade on my list, a Contego.

Just came in the mail today. 179 of 250. Should have been serrated but isn't.

Another peculiar thing about the Shot Show 2013 Griptilians in general is that the G10 scales are actually layered black and red but I couldn't manage to photograph this what-so-ever. But I will say that it looks very nice when you can actually see it.
