The golden anodized aluminum Crosslock PBS with pocket clip and the Marksman ( bearing pivot, aluminum handle, pick lock, flipper, super steel blade, thumb hole and pocket clip) are on my short list.

It is fun to see the 50th 110 in Bill's mitts. It sure looks good to my sore eyes.

Really liking the Marksman and have my order in with Larry for one. Hard to believe folks wanted a smaller Spitfire. Was thinking I'd actually like it if it was just a little bigger rather than smaller.

I think I've said it half a dozen times now, but I'm juiced for the 830 Marksman. Barring serious QC issues, it could easily be one of the best available folders in the $80-$120 range once it hits.

The Markman's listed features and appearance, I like the handle shape protecting my index finger from sliding out onto the cutting edge during push cuts in the regular grip position, hit the bull's eye for me. C.J. Buck, VP of Buck Knives, was carrying this knife clipped into his pants pocket the last time I saw him last summer. He did the beta testing. Yes he did :) Oh yea. What a terrific regular guy, someone you could take to the hockey game, he showed me photos of moose taken in his front AND back yard. Post Falls, ID, is moose central.

A smaller model makes me think that the targeted buyers are women and children (smaller hands). Some jurisdictions don't allow proper sized knives. I like huge knives but carry a 424 Bucklite and a under 9" folder...

Agreed. Hearty agreement.

Three robust cheers for Buck taking on this flying close to the sun project, bravo, bravo and bravo brave fellows.

I awaken to find myself a dinosaur. 300

Kids everywhere love you?

You are petrified?

Puzzled. Waking up is a positive note, however. Congratulations. You are our Dino! Bless you and keep you and keep you here.

I owned the diminutive Talus 316 (shown in one of the above linked videos) last year when it was a Canadian Tire special! I am pretty sure that doesn't make me a non-Dino. :)

Really jazzed for the marksman

You are on the cutting edge. Yes you are.

Larry Oden, Renaissance hero to those who know him, barely removed his flying digits from his smoking keyboard before he was hit by my chain blue lightning order for the Marksman. A knife, BTW, that Buck seems to have from uncongeeled random bits of wants and desires bouncing around in my noggin for some time. Buck: Mind readers. Who knew.

I also am enthralled with the Marksman :)
Ever since I saw an Oregon allusion regarding it.
I also asked Larry to obtain me one :)

Now my current question is...... anyone have any idea when those coveted cutlery are destined to be released unto anxiously awaiting afficianados?

You think you are eager! I've already used by ProSite 2 knife allotment for the entire year and we are only a few weeks into 2014 (regular and FG 50th 110s + two aluminum Buck branded water bottles).

It is a miracle that CJ Buck was able to beta test the Marksman after what this forum's moderator's dangerously sharp knife did to CJs number one digit (notice my avatar for the grim details). A miracle. What a trooper the VP of Buck is. Where there is a will, and there is a will, there is a way. Love this company.

Was the dangerously sharp knife made of carefully shaped obsidian? ;)

Yep, I am eager, but I now have a bunch of Buck kitchen knives to distract me for a while :)
And a BCCI membership package that should arrive soon. The BCCI website should give me ample distraction too.

I've seen Craig's dangerous executive mangler and it is, of course, a 300 series compact package of pain, suffering and ingenious cutlery.

Quick, while there is still time, up your membership to lifetime and reap the rewards you deserve. The BCCI website is a gold mine for the cognizanti researcher. Yes it is.

I intend to upgrade it later for sure.
John said that wouldn't be a problem :)
Being just after Christmas, and just aquiring a pile of Buck kitchen cutlery, I have to wait to do the lifetime membership.

I did something similar. I bot the one year membership via the mail. Went to a show and met, for the first time, famous Chuck Buck and brilliant Joe Houser and saw the terrific knives they had on their tables and met the gracious and knowledgeable BCCI reps and saw the eye-popping knives they had on their table and signed up on the spot for the lifetime program. Happy as a clam, surprised that they would have me as a member, deep clover for me.
