Dave (Four Sevens) very kindly introduced a plethora of new lighting devices at SHOT Show 2016. One of which promises to be a STUNNER! :D

The "stunner" is cute, but I don't see it being too practical.

The LED flashbang isn't an original concept:

I would also argue that it's not really a great replacement for a flashbang because it isn't as bright. 2000 lumens isn't that bright if the light isn't focused, that's like turning on the lights to a room.

Agreed to a certain extent in that I have handled a Brite-Strike. However, found it extremely interesting that Dave was able to MELT down one of his prototypes.

Not surprising given how much heat those LEDs put out. Mine gets about as hot as a boiling cup of coffee after about 15 seconds(3500 lumens). The heat can be managed with a quality solid copper heatsink. But my turn off from FourSevens is that they outsource to China, and because of that mindset, you don't really get top notch materials like copper for the heatsink. Aluminum doesn't have as much mass to soak in the heat, so while it moves heat around fairly quickly, it only takes a few seconds before the heatsink is fully saturated and the internals melt down.

Also telling is that they evidently don't have a thermal cut-off if it's allowed to get hot enough to melt.
