I really like the Phalanx, hopefully these come out this year.

Has anyone seen the MSRP on these yet?

Kane specifically said that pricing was still not available but would be posted when the knives are announced at the EKI website. Usual and customary, standby to standby. :D

Of the new releases, the only one that really appeals to me is the Kwaiken (sadly, only a limited run).

I love Emerson Knives as much as the next guy, but I don't see where the demand is coming from for many of these 'new' designs. What I do see in discussions (forum threads, Facebook comments, YouTube comments) is a request for different materials, improved build quality, etc. It's hard at times to justify the price of an Emerson, when you see the collaboration models that sell for much less, but are made with more 'modern' materials and have a higher degree of fit and finish.

At some point, you would imagine that one would have to stop and look at the cost of R&D and new product development/marketing VS. making key process and quality improvements to the flagship of the catalog.

I would like a regular version of that kwaiken. I do not need a signature or special number. I just hope they decide to do a production run of that one.
