Looks like several manufacturers are pulling out of the Shot Show. Anyone have any ideas as to who?

Rumors say Microtech, Spyderco and Benchmade will be no shows. Any truth to this? Any others not showing up?

Is this true? I thought Benchmade was supposed to unveil the new Elishewitz collaboration Axis-lock at the Shot Show?

Bummer.

For Benchmade and Spyderco to pull out of the premier wholesale cutlery trade show of the year makes no sense to me at all. I know how important Shot is to Outdoor Edge so I find this very hard to believe.

Hey Mike....

Why would they pull out ??
Is there something going on, we should know about ???

Spyderco will certainly be there...as we have been since 1980.

Last time I saw Lester, we agreed to get together at SHOT Show, as we do every year. Certainly Benchmade will be there.

Mike, I can't imagine where such a rumor would begin. You wouldn't want to share who would start such rumors, would you? Enquiring minds want to know.

For those who get there: Please take as many pictures as you can for those of us who cannot attend.

Yes, Elishewitz axis sounds promising.

Sal,

It started with several gun comanies pulling out because of law suits from major cities. Then I guess someone thought this would transfer to the knife industry. Just glad to know you guys will be there.

Wow, there sure do seem to be quite a few rumors being generated and circulated. It's really amusing hearing them.

We're all very excited about setting up at the 2000 SHOT Show and displaying our newest products. Even I gotta admit...they're very cool.

I recognize Las Vegas as a very convenient and organized convention city. We are sure that the upcoming SHOT Show will provide many of it's attendees the largest selection of new products ever!

With the travel schedules we keep, the SHOT show is often one of the few times we get to mingle and visit with many of our friends who are in the business. Sal Glesser and his wife, Gail, the owners of Spyderco, have been and will continue to be our traditional dinner companions for one night during each SHOT Show.

We really enjoy each other's company and it's nice kinda "growing up" with each other. It's almost like no one else really appreciates what it's like to take something you really love and try and make a living at it!

Benchmade will definitely be at the 2000 SHOT Show. So will a select team of our employees, who have begun interviewing for the coveted slots available for getting to represent our company - and their peers - at this year's show.

After all, who knows a Benchmade Knife better than the very people who make them! We look forward to seeing and visiting with all of you that will be fortunate enough to attend this year's party!

Happy Thanksgiving,

I'll be there pointing my digital camera at whatever new sharp objects the exibitors will let me photograph.

Cool..... I love clearing up rumors fast. Actually I wish people would quit spreading them. Very counter productive.

And stop calling me with them until you confirm them yourself
