did anyone other than me see a spyderco knife with spyderco logo damascus bolsters? i e-mail spyderco on 2-4 on any info and had no response. i know they are probably busy from the shot show. does anyone have any info on this knife.

I wasn't at SHOT, but that was most likely the 25th Anniversary Spyderco knife.

I just called SFO. They indicated that yes, these are the 25th anniversary knives, but they are not yet in production. They had no other information.

Carlos, any inside scoop on when, where why and how?

It is the 25th Anniversary knife, but they are sill working on it, so details are still "classified" until they are finalized. They will only be made in a small run and they will be VERY expensive.

any info on the maker of the damascus? and approximate run # and retail $$$. thanks for the info so far hope to hear more soon. please let us know when it is out of the closet. LOL

The damascus bolster (with the Spyderco logo) is was made by Ed Schempp.

The plan is for a total production run of 500 pcs.

thanks sal, would you happen to know if all the pieces are already allocated to dealers? aprroximate retail price? any pictures? thanks

We don't have any pics yet. The first showing was at SHOT. The only guaranteed offerings at this time will be to the collectors. Don't know price yet, but they are quite expensive to build and will probably show that in the retail price.

I don't know if we're taking orders yet. You would have to ask your Spyderco dealer to try to order one for you if you are really interested in getting one.

The mosaic Spyderco logo damascus that Ed Schempp has built for this run is quite exquisite and labor intensive to make, even if you know how. That's why we can't make thousands of them.

Sal, are these knives already sold out or in production yet? any more info or pictures yet? thanks

No official guesstimates yet. I don't know how far the knives are along in their development.

MSRP is showing $345.95 I'd say will see for around 220 bucks just guessing. have not seen anything but pics of them so far but they look sweet the damscus is nice and unique the scales are very rich looking. Should be a nice collectos piece for those who love the Spydies. i was wondering if they have a pocket clip on them? anyone?

NGK> nope, no clip... I'm getting one in the early 50s(52 or 54, have to pull the email again), and shipping it to G2 after I get my handling in. Anything but leather will clash with the bone, and G2's will be worth it(and cheap after comparing it to the knife). Special occassion only carry.
